This summer, 35 students from Arunachal Pradesh stayed back at Kyitsel-ling during their 50-day summer break. Their parents live far away and could not afford to fetch them home this year. Instead of feeling left behind, the children made this summer break very productive and joyful. With a proper daily timetable, the students remained active, engaged, and happy.
Life Skills:
● Cycling, Skating, Swimming:
Kyitsel-ling’s cycles and skateboards were used fully. Many students were first-time learners, but soon they were confidently riding cycles and skateboards.
● We also arranged two summer picnics – one to Gucchu Pani and another to Sahastradhara. The children enjoyed playing in the water and many learned how to swim for the first time.
Creative Activities:
Under the guidance of Mrs. Namgyal la, students learned many creative works such as:
● Pebble Painting Activity
● Making pen stands from ice cream sticks
● Stone Craft Activity
● Brush activities: how to draw and paint properly
A glimpse of these activities is shown below. Please enjoy the attached photos that show their summer moments!

A Heartfelt Thanks
We thank all our sponsors and well-wishers for making this meaningful summer possible for these children. Your support helps them learn new skills, build confidence, and stay happy and healthy even when they are far from home.
