In their recent letter, Tantar Lhundup and Tsering Youdon, our wonderful partners at Rainbow have written about the remarkable weather changes in Ladakh. Here is a segment of their message:
“The normal average is around 15 mm, but this year it reached 47 mm, followed by unexpected snowfall during the same month. This has led to flash floods and the disruption of major surface roads. Even now, it has been raining continuously for the past two days, and no construction activities have taken place for the last week.”
In spite of the weather challenges, Rainbow School has made excellent progress in constructing the new multi use auditorium as can be seen from this second building report. (REPORT)
